We Talkin' About Green Wave Watersports?
Green Wave Watersports was founded by two friends who grew up in Hampton and spent countless days at Buckroe Beach. As kids, we learned to love the water, beach life, and everything that comes with it. Years later, we saw an opportunity to bring something fun and exciting back to our hometown.
We started Green Wave Watersports to give locals and visitors a fresh way to experience Buckroe Beach through accessible watersports. The goal was simple. Share our passion for the water, create unforgettable beach days, and invest in the community that helped shape us into the people we are today.
The Mission
At Green Wave Watersports, our mission is to bring people together through the love of water, while simultaneously making Buckroe Beach a better, cleaner, and more exciting place to be. In addition, we are proud to offer state-of-the-art eFoil lessons, watersports, beach equipment rentals, and concessions, all with the goal of delivering the best customer service possible. Furthermore, we’re dedicated to promoting water safety, environmental stewardship, and helping keep our ocean and beach pristine. Consequently, our goal is to be a key reason why Buckroe Beach is such a fun destination, lifting our community and showcasing the best that Hampton has to offer.
The Hidden Gem of Hampton Roads
Buckroe Beach, located in Hampton, Virginia, has been a cherished destination since the late 1800s. Originally established as a resort with lively dance halls and an inviting atmosphere, it quickly became a favorite getaway for visitors from near and far. Although the amusement park closed in 1985, Buckroe Beach remains a beloved spot for both locals and tourists.
With breathtaking views of the Chesapeake Bay, sandy shores, and a rich history, Buckroe Beach continues to be a vibrant community destination. We are proud to be the watersports and beach equipment rental service of this iconic beach, helping visitors enjoy everything it has to offer.
